Finn, Paul

About the artist

Landscape painter Paul Finn is a member of The Arborealists, the association of British and french artists who find inspiration from trees. A former student of The Slade, he now lives close to London and his work takes him from East Anglia to Italy and Spain.

Getting up close to trees is just the beginning of the creative process. He makings drawings, then creates the paintings themselves when he is back in his studio. While his work appears quite figurative in style, Paul insists that the colours and forms in his work are often more imaginative than representational, even verging towards the abstract.
