This is Inge Clayton’s ironic take on a famous painting by Stanley Spencer in the National Gallery titled Double Nude Portrait (and nicknamed The Leg of Mutton Nude) depicting the artist crouching impotently above his second wife. Clayton creates a similar composition - but inverts the male and female figures.

This is a hand tinted lithograph, so a unique work.
